Each October, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens becomes a destination for collectors and design enthusiasts as Antiques at The Gardens brings together nationally recognized speakers, exceptional dealers, and a weekend of gracious inspiration. The 2025 edition runs October 3–5 and pairs an elevated antiques show with lectures and book signings from leading tastemakers.
The festivities begin Friday, October 3, with two can’t-miss talks. At 11 a.m., celebrated designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard presents Designing with the Stars, a look at his glamorous yet inviting interiors and the stories behind some of his most iconic projects. At 2 p.m., acclaimed British designer Ben Pentreath offers An English Vision, exploring how classical principles, color, and collected elements create rooms with character and longevity.
On Sunday, October 5, the program continues with Marshall Watson at 11 a.m. speaking on Defining Elegance, highlighting craftsmanship, proportion, and the quiet details that make a space feel timeless.

The weekend concludes at 2 p.m. with Creating a Livable Home—a lively conversation featuring Ray Booth, Jon Carloftis, and Brooke & Steve Giannetti, moderated by Hadley Keller, Director of Editorial at the Design Leadership Network. Expect thoughtful takeaways on balancing beauty and comfort, indoors and out.
Between sessions, guests can browse a curated show floor featuring antiques, fine furnishings, art, and decorative accessories from distinguished dealers. Whether you’re seeking a statement piece or the perfect finishing touch, the selection rewards a careful eye and an appreciation for craftsmanship.
Set amid garden paths and glasshouse vistas, Antiques at The Gardens offers a uniquely Birmingham experience—equal parts inspiration and hospitality. It’s an ideal outing for avid collectors, design professionals, and anyone who loves living with beautiful things.
