A Georgetown Jewel

The fourth-floor guest room feels like a serene nest filled with antique furniture Crocker found in a Paris flea market.

When Crocker entertains at home, she keeps it interesting by varying venues seasonally. Cozy winter dinners are enjoyed before a crackling fire in the dining room on her favorite Swedish oval table. Here, the tableau often includes Simon Pearce glassware mixed with her grandmother’s vintage wine goblets from Russia. In milder weather, casual parties segue into the garden, which becomes a coveted extra room.

“It’s a great house in the best location,” Crocker says. “I frequent Georgetown’s galleries, boutiques, and restaurants, and I love to walk and run on the C&O Canal towpath. I take advantage of everything this amazing microcosm has to offer.” For Crocker, this house within Georgetown’s unique villagelike atmosphere has evolved into the centerpiece of her busy life.
